Tucked away behind long abandoned mountain castles, in regions of Italy not often visited by tourists, this pesto is made in the style of the mountainous and secluded Marche. With almonds toasted in olive oil, fresh basil, and parmesan as the base this creamy delicious pesto goes has a richer more full flavor then it’s Genoese cousin. This pesto works best on pasta, pizza, foccacia, and vegetable dishes!
